About the Conference

In the tradition of earlier biennial iMEMS conferences, which started in 1997, iMEMS06 will continue to provide a forum on pertinent MEMS issues. iMEMS06 will have a special focus on life sciences, bioengineering and gene therapy.  This Conference will see the venue to be right in the heart of Biopolis (http://www.a-star.edu.sg/astar/biopolis/index.do) in Singapore.  Biopolis is where most of the Biomedical Research Institutes and renown companies in life sciences are located in Singapore.

The other pertinent issues in MEMS will of course, continue to be well emphasized.  A range of contemporary topics of importance for the science, engineering and technology of MEMS will be discussed.  Of interest, will be the use of smart materials and polymers for Microsystems.

An International Exhibition from all sectors of MEMS and related industries will be displayed in Biopolis.  Visits to the Research Institutes will be organized.

A target audience of 400 is expected for the Conference.
